Technology is the tool. People are the priority.
That phrase has become a guiding principle in my career, and in how I lead.
I’m an experienced technology leader working in local government and education, with a passion for creating cultures where people feel safe to lead, grow, and innovate. With over a decade of experience delivering major ICT and digital transformation projects, I’ve seen firsthand that the success of any technology solution comes down to the people who use it, and the leaders who support them.
Currently serving as Acting Chief Information Officer at the City of Cockburn, I oversee the City’s technology, customer experience, and information management service areas. My work focuses on enabling better community outcomes through digital strategy, secure infrastructure, and people-first leadership.
Prior to this, I’ve worked across schools, startups, and local government agencies, leading teams, reshaping service delivery, and aligning technology with organisational goals. I’ve co-founded a national youth esports organisation, transformed school ICT environments, and championed responsible AI and cloud technologies in the public sector.
But beyond roles and titles, I believe the real work of leadership happens in the small moments: creating space for others to contribute, building trust, and helping people do work they’re proud of.
I write and speak about leadership, technology, and culture, and how we can lead with empathy, clarity, and purpose in environments that are constantly changing.
